We are a Tamil and English Pentecost Church in the heart of Southampton. Our services are in English and Tamil. At Hope Church Southampton, we put Jesus first! He is at the centre of what we do and we trust his Word and follow his lead.
Scripture in Matthew 12:21 tells us that nations will put their hope in Jesus – This HOPE is what drives us at Hope International Church.
We submit to Jesus Christ and want to be his instruments (2 Timothy 2:20-21). Through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT (Romans 15:13), who indwells believers (Romans 8:9) and regenerates sinners (Titus 3:5), we strive for our Church to be a place where God’s people are guided into the knowledge of the truth, only found in Jesus Christ (John 16:13; John 14:6).
Working alongside other faithful churches in Southampton, we consider it our joy and privilege to announce the hope and salvation that is in Jesus Christ to those around us.
Our service and sermons are predominantly in English and Tamil. When our speakers chose to speak in a local Asian dialect, we always translate it into English. Our Sunday school is taught in English.
